Studio Materials
These are the materials I reach for every day in my studio. I'm often asked what I paint with, so I've gathered them here.
Some of the links on this page are affiliate links. If you buy through them, I may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. I only list materials I genuinely use in my own work.
Paint
Golden Heavy Body Acrylics
My main acrylic. Thick, buttery and intensely pigmented — it holds every brushstroke.
Amsterdam Acrylics
What I use for the first layers of a painting, when I'm still searching for the composition.
Oil Pastels & Oil Sticks
Sennelier Oil Pastels
Soft and creamy — the oil pastels I use for drawing into the paint.
Sennelier Oil Sticks
For bold, expressive marks on top of the surface.
Surface
Unprimed Raw Linen
I paint on raw linen and love how its natural color and texture stay part of the work.
Brushes & Care
Daler-Rowney Georgian Brushes
Sturdy bristle brushes that keep their shape through heavy paint.
Talens Brush Soap
Keeps my brushes going for years.
